So as everyone knows Rylee has been pretty sick!! Aaron called me in the afternoon and said he got a call back about the results and everything came back negative. My first thought was crap!! I was only thinking that cause if it wasn't any of those 3 things the only things left where intestinal problems.
Later that day I get a call from the Doc telling me the salmonella test came back positive..... I was so confused so I called Aaron who then called the Doc. Long story short they miscommunicated. Rylee for sure is positive for salmonella! We have no idea where it came from or what food it came from. Its so hard to tell because all 4 of us that live here ate the EXACT same things. Who knows maybe we all have it and our older bodies are handling it better. They cant give any medication for it because it could make her feel worse so its a just let it run its course situation. She is contagious for 10 to 14 days!!! Who would have thought. NOT US! My poor girl has been cooped up in this house since we got back from Mississippi so today she says to me, "want for lunch Mom." I wont lie I didn't want to make anything I was feeling extra lazy today so we headed out Noodles and Company and got her favorite Mac and cheese! She was so happy about it I had to take a pic...

While we were out I decided to go to the DI and look for a used nightstand. (I didn't want to spend a 40 dollars on one.) I found one for $5! With a little sanding and some paint I knew this had potential. It didn't take me long at all! The nice thing is this nightstand cost me a total of $10! I already had the paint and sand paper. All it needed was an up to date handle:) This was my first project on furniture and I had no idea how much fun it would be. This might just be my new addiction.....
Ok the real reason why I wanted to do a nightstand.....
The husband bought me a new bedset:) This is probably my number one addiction besides changing my furniture around. I LOVE a new bedset! He is the best for supporting my addiction and being so great about it:)

The waiting game......
My poor little girl woke up this morning in the worst pain I have ever seen her in! She was hunched over on the floor crying saying, "Mommy it hurts!" and grabbing at her belly. Through out the day she was eating and drinking but still in pain. As all of you know my child is very well known to getting sick at least once a month. At first I thought that was the case but after no vomiting and eating I knew it couldn't be that. After so long I was convinced that she was just constipated. (sorry for all you people that get grossed out by TMI) so I did the stufff you would if that was the case... Then I noticed she had blood in her stool. Thats when I started to get nervous!! I made Aaron call up at the U and they suggested we see someone. You would never think a child would be so excited to see a Doctor, but Rylee sure was! As soon as we told her we were going to the Doctor she said "lets get in the car." That tells you how much pain she was in!! They did a stool test and it came back positive for blood ( we weren't 100% sure at first if it was blood cause she had eaten red foods) When I heard that my heart sank!! The doctor said it could be colitis, appendicitis or food allergies. The two things that made her believe its not colitis or appendicitis is cause she wasn't running a fever and you could still put pressure on her belly. If the pain doesn't get better by tomorrow we have to take her right back in. If she gets a fever its straight to the ER
Now we play the waiting game....... I am praying it gets better by tomorrow cause most likely then its just a food allergy. My heart hurts for my baby:( I wish I could just take that pain from her. The sad thing is there is nothing we can give her to make her feel better. Its just cuddles and hugs for now. Then lots of food allergy test to find this nasty culprit!! This whole situation could be minor but to me my little girl is in pain and hurting and I cant do anything about it so its major to me either way. Moms out there know what I am talking about:)

Time to vent!!!
Ok so there is so much crap on the news about children dying! I honestly try not to pass judgement on people cause I am a firm believer on "accidents happen." I am no longer a believer of that!! "accidents" to me now are stupid decisions! With that being said people can avoid accidents. Yes I know sometimes it's hard to keep 100% eye on your child 24/7. Especially when you have a toddler. If you know there's fast water stay away from it, if you know you will be at a lake make sure your child has a life jacket ALL the time. So in all reality there are ways to protect yourself from making stupid decision aka accidents.
What got me started on this was children and child restraints. I can't really say much about the front facing at two because I did it much earlier. After being more educated in it I realized that wasn't a smart move. We get so mad and frustrated with parents for not watching there kid near dangerous places or not even putting children in safety restraints but when it comes to the parent putting a child front facing too early, moving up to a booster seat too early you don't hear anything. It's not smart it's just the same is not keeping a close eye on your child or not putting a life jacket on your child. They say for a booster seat the minimum weight it 30 lbs. Rylee is 30 lbs there is no way in hell she will be put in one at that weight!! Amazes me when you see people get so mad that someone else isn't keeping a close eye on their child yet that person that is getting angry probably has their child in a car seat so incredibly wrong!

Wonderful two days!
Well we got to spend two days with James after his basic training. It was very bittersweet! Glad we got to see him but sad we all had to leave him again. He looks so good and we are all so proud of him. What an amazing man he is for serving his country. Love you James
