Something inspiring!

I saw this today and pretty much fell in love with it and thought I would share:)

The Interview With God


I dreamed I had an interview with God.


"Come in," God said. "So, you would like to interview Me?"

"If you have the time," I said.

God smiled and said:
"My time is eternity and is enough to do everything; What uestions do you have in mind to ask me?"

"What surprises you most about mankind?"

God answered:

"That they get bored of being children, are in a rush to grow up, and then long to be children again...

That they lose their health to make money and then lose their money to restore their health...

That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live neither for the present nor the future...

That they live as if they will never die, and they die as if they had never lived."

God's hands took mine and we were silent for awhile and then I asked... "As a parent, what are some of life's lessons you want your children to learn?"

God replied with a smile:

"To learn that they cannot make anyone love them. What they can do is to let themselves be loved...

To learn that what is most valuable is not what they have in their lives, but who they have in their lives...

To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others. All will be judged individually on their own merits, not as a group on a comparison basis...

To learn that a rich person is not the one who has the most, but is one who needs the least...

To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in persons we love, and that it takes many years to heal them...

To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness...

To learn that there are persons that love them dearly, but simply do not know how to express or show their feelings...

To learn that money can buy everything but happiness...

To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it totally different...

To learn that a true friend is someone who knows everything about them, and likes them anyway...

To learn that it is not always enough that they be forgiven by others, but that they have to forgive themselves."


I sat there for awhile enjoying the moment. I thanked Him for his time and for all that He has done for me and my family, and He replied, "Anytime. I'm here 24 hours a day. All you have to do is ask for me, and I'll answer."

Eggs, Candy and goodbyes!

I have been so busy so I haven't been able to post anything from Easter till today. The weekend before Easter we did an early Easter with Aaron's family. Rylee got a practice run on egg hunting that day:) I got the best picture of her that day that I love so so much! She looks so cute and I just look at it and cant believe how big she is!!

Now on Easter I think the best word to describe that day was bittersweet! We did an early morning breakfast with Me,Dad,Aaron,Rylee,Mom,James,Steph and Taylor That followed a hilarious time of more Easter egg hunting. Taylor was so funny finding the eggs! She would pick up the egg and chuck it so hard into her basket. Then I have never seen Rylee so excited to find eggs. Before we even were close to going outside to find them she spotted an egg from the back door and that was the end of it. We had to go right at that moment to find more. She would yell the whole time "look there it is! I found it I found it!" It was so funny! I enjoyed every min of watching those girls search for eggs.

After the morning part everyone parted and did their own things till later that night. We all got together again for an Easter dinner with a totally of 15 people in my house. As most of you know we weren't celebrating just Easter. We were also getting ready to say goodbye to my brother. His recruiter came to pick him up from my house at about 7pm. This was so hard to see him off. My heart was mostly hurting for Steph Taylor and James. This whole process has to be so hard on all 3 of them, but I know everything will work out and it will make their family so much stronger. So that was our Easter this year!!

Bittersweet!!

Dirty daycares!

Well as most of you know from Facebook I went and toured a daycare that I have always had on my mind where I would want Rylee to go. Not to mention this is supposed to be a top daycare and it is very much known from its name. So I went in walked in the door and instantly got a bad vibe! First off the lady I was meeting with to give me this tour was trying to talk to me plus stuffing her face with a doughnut. Hey nothing wrong with stuffing your face with a doughnut just can you please wait till you are done talking with me?! Then as we are walking down the halls and heading to the classroom that Rylee would be attending there is full garbage bags that need to be thrown away just laying outside the doors. So we walk into the room looks pretty much like a daycare classroom nothing to great but nothing too extremely bad till all of a sudden I see a child standing on a chair not just the seat part of the chair but the back part of the chair trying to reach a radio on the shelf yet the teacher did not stop it at all. That could have been a disaster if the director that was giving me the tour hadn't taken him off of the chair. So after witnessing that she took me into the bathrooms to show me the potty training charts and I about died!!! The toilets hadn't been flushed plus toilet paper all over the floor and hanging half in the toilet and half out! Her response was "Oh wow I guess this is what 2 year olds do." and I wanted to say "Yes they do only if you let them and don't teach them about flushing and cleaning up after themselves." After going through all that we then start talking about prices......$500 a month for 2 days a week!!NUTS!!! Wont be going there again...Obviously!!
I feel good and happy about working more hours since after all that my sister in law has said she would take Rylee for the days that I need. Rylee will get more time with her cousin and they only live around the block from us. Very convenient!:)


Rylee has been such a crack up today. First she gets a hold of a full roll of toilet paper while I am getting ready and drags it around the house completely unrolled. I seriously thought she was past that stage but I guess not. She kept telling me to put the toilet paper on her so I wrapped it around her head, belly and legs. She loved it and by the time we were all done the whole living room floor was covered in little shredded pieces of toilet paper. I wont lie I enjoy Rylee getting into little things like that cause it brings the kid out in me. Whats done is done I cant get mad at her for it I just have to enjoy it with her:)

7 deadly sins!

So today at work a client points at the wall and asks me and another esthetician how people react to the painting we have hung up on our wall. I hadn't ever really looked too deep into the painting. I have always just thought that it was just a simple painting with a girl on it and then the word envy across it. Well as everyone knows there is always a meaning behind every painting and for some reason when this painting was being explained to me I was very interested. This artist named Joe Esquibel did 7 paintings One painting of ENVY, PRIDE, GLUTTONY, LUST, WRATH, GREED, and SLOTH. Also known as the 7 deadly sins! As weird as this is, this is the first time I have ever heard about the 7 deadly sins as the 7 deadly sins. Of course I knew about envy, pride and so forth. I just never knew that's what they were called.
After learning about the painting and really thinking about the 7 deadly sins it really opened up my eyes. Its amazing how many people there are that have all 7 of those in there lives including myself! I honestly can say I have been every single one of those at one point in my life. It makes me want to rethink my actions and be more conscious of it all. Its funny how a simple painting can do that to you. I definitely wont be looking at that painting the same as I have been for the last 3 1/2 years:)

BIG ACRYLIC PAINTING (purchased by a beauty salon) ... one of seven deadly sins - the other six hang at Design of Today's offices in SLC - Danell seems to like them ... all are humorous and all are very big - I think I'll paint the Virtues next .... Envy was inspired by the late 1950's Barbie doll with her exaggerated neck, eyes, dimensions - what an opportunity for envy ...

To Rylee!!

I can't express enough how much this little girl means to me! The last few weeks we have had some amazing bonding moments. She has wanted me to comb her hair (the small amount she has) put on princess shoes (high heels) and dance with her to Cinderella music and has been so into cuddling with me. We will just be sitting on the couch and she will grab me and say "Mommy cuddle." or when its nap time she will ask me to come take a nap with her and ask me to hold her hand while we fall asleep. Its so heart melting! I am so grateful to have such a lovable child. Minus her terrible 2's we are going through but even then she is perfect. Is it weird that It all makes me baby hungry yet then again it doesn't?! I want all that baby feeling again but then again I don't want Rylee to have to share me with anyone but her Daddy. Yes that is weird. It sounded weird when I typed it! She is just growing up way too fast I want time to slow down just a bit. When people would say time will fly when you have kids that's completely wrong. Its more like time will disappear when you have children! It makes you realize even more that you need to Cherish every moment you have in your life whether it be good or bad because life is so short and so precious.

Finally at day 30!! I am actually very shocked that I was able to keep up with this. I have actually really enjoyed blogging. I feel like since I have started blogging I stepped a little further away from the Facebook. I enjoy facebook yet hate it at the same time. The nice thing about blogging is you get on write your thing and then your done and with Facebook I feel like there are times when it can take over my life! I'm sure there are others that feel that way also. Unless I'm just crazy:/  I definitely plan to keep blogging and just might think of another challenge to do:)

My 3 good things that have happened to me this last month........
1- I found new friendship
2- I have learned that being forgiven by others isn't always enough. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive your self too.
3-I have/still am working on over coming hard trials in my life.
