On cloud 9

After YEARS of ups and downs with things and people in life I have come to FINALLY realize what and who is truly important. Things and material things don't matter at all in ones life, It wont make you happy forever Name brands and expensive things are just a way to waste good money. I have realized that true friends are hard to find. A true friend includes you, needs you as much as you need them and doesn't only come to you when they only need something.
I feel so content right now about everything in my life and wouldn't change anything for the world! I have learned so much in life through ups and downs, but in my eyes it was the best way to learn life lessons. Pretty much I feel like I am on cloud 9 with everything that is happening and has happened in my life even if there was downs in the process. I just wanted to share my cloud 9 feeling:)

Ultrasound....

Well today we had our ultra sound. We were both so excited to see this sweet baby and make sure it was healthy. Well when we got there the lady asks us if we want to know the gender. Of course we said no and then she turns to rylee and asks her if she wants a brother or sister. Rylee yells at the top of her lungs "sister" it was so cute to see her so excited! The lady starts the ultra sound and there it was clear as day! It's amazing how after you have seen a girls sonogram with your first you just know exactly how to read everyone after that. When I saw it my heart dropped only cause I was so worried about what Aaron was feeling. We both saw it at the same time and gave each other the "oh shit it's a girl" look! We had it burned in our brains that we were having a boy.Then all Aaron said out loud was, "I think I'm really out numbered." We both laughed and after the lady left he expressed to me how happy he was and I expressed how relieved I was that it was a girl. We both wanted a boy so bad, but in the end we are happier it's a girl. It was such a weird feeling cause we for sure thought we would be a little disappointed, but we weren't even one little bit! Aaron says he needs more guns to chase off the boys:) a dad that is a cop with lots of guns I think we will have the boy situation under control!!

My husband is just plain perfect!

We have been shopping around for car seats and stroller travel systems and lets be honest they can get pretty expensive! So I decided to get creative..... I get on the graco website and you can order all new replacement parts to your car seat except the actual cover. Kind of annoying seeing as what if it gets a tare in it or extremely stained to unclean able. What do you have to do, buy a whole new car seat? I started to do some research on this and found a few websites that take you step by step on how to reupholster a car seat. Who knew it could be so easy!! I also did research on doing this to your car seat and what the dangers were.... NONE the only thing it said was that it could void the warranty on the car seat, meaning if there was an accident that in some cases the insurance company wont replace the car seat for a new one. If that was all I had to worry about then I say go for it. Here is the part about my Husband being perfect, not many men would go and help me pick out fabric let alone help me sew and figure out how to do this for the car seat. I am so grateful to have him. He is plain perfect in my eyes and I am so happy I have a husband that is willing to do these girlie things with me.

With Rylee's unexpired old car seat and new buckle and strap replacements it will be good as new! Another thing I found out while researching that I had no idea about is that if the straps on the car seat are to get wet it can cause the material to break down and in an accident the straps can actually break! Who knew!! So when washing your car seat don't wash the straps and strap covers are pretty important for that:)

Oh the joy of taxes.....

In the summer we are always taking fun little vacations as a family, but seeing as our little bundle of joy will enter this world in July our vacations will be limited this year. So Aaron and I have decided to take Rylee on a trip in March (during our spring break) I am so excited to get out of this awful cold and be somewhere sunny and warm. Taxes you have made my year cause you are the reason we will be able to take Rylee on one last trip with just the 3 of us before we become a family of 4!!

I can't help it, but I am extremely excited and March can't come soon enough!!!! Judging....

One of my favorite quotes! I won't lie I have done a lot of judging in my life, but as I have grown I am learning more and more about the wrong of judging someone because of the way they live or do things. It amazes me how someone can judge a random person they know nothing about, but what they look like. Yes don't get me wrong first impressions are always important, but do they really make or break someone? I definitely don't think it does. All people are seeing is the cover to the book and I don't understand why it is hard for an 'adult' to understand that. Everyone has their own personal story under all the name brand clothes or under the dirty worn down clothes. Everyone has their trials and everyone has to take the action that works best for them and their family. So people stop judging, it doesn't make you any better to point fingers at them for being 'who they are.'

Seriously....

If you have ever been pregnant I'm sure most of you know about pregnancy nose bleeds? If not you are lucky! Even when I'm not pregnant I get awful nose bleeds as it is, but during pregnancy it's like 10 times worse. Makes sense it would be since your vessels swell and burst but seriously you would think there would be a more sufficient way of controlling them. Pretty much my morning was awful because of this wonderful inconvenience. I won't complain too much cause all of these nasty things you get during pregnancy is all worth it in the end when you're cuddled up with the new bundle of joy. After my morning not going my way my wonderful husband felt bad and decided he needed to take off work and take us all to lunch and the dinosaur museum to get my mind off my awful morning. We had a great time! It has been awhile since just the three of us got out and spent time together. If Aaron and Rylee wouldn't have been with me today I think my stress level would have been worse than it was. (don't need that kind of stress while pregnant) I am beyond grateful for those two! So I'm glad today is over and tomorrow is a new day:)
I also got a decorating itch and decided to redo Rylee's toy room! It went from cream paint on the top and chalk board on the bottom to blue paint on top and chalk board on the bottom. I then decided to make the closet into a reading nook! Which if I do say so myself turned out amazing! I plan to do an art corner, a tea party corner and dress up. Can't wait till its all done:)

16 weeks!!!

Time is going by pretty dang fast! I can't believe I am already 16 weeks. When morning sickness isn't in the picture I LOVE being pregnant! So far everything is going great! Last doctors appointment the heart beat was 160, so right where it should be. I wish I could say my next appointment will be awesome, but it will all just be my normal doctors appointment since we aren't finding out the sex. No announcement on the sex for Aaron and  I, but it will be an even better announcement the day the baby arrives:) so here is my 16 week update......

What is the weight of your baby: 3 1/2 ounces

How long is your baby: 4 1/2 inches long

Morning sickness: I thought is was completely gone but some nights at 10 I get a little sick, but nothing slim fast cant fix:)

Fatigue: Still a little sleepy but I think I am getting my energy back, but I wont give up my naps!

How much you have gained:  Not 100% sure. If you go by my scale at home its says I have gained 10 pounds total. I don't feel like I have gained 10, but who knows! I'll know for sure at my doc appointment.

Stretch marks: None yet.......
Cravings: Salt and vinegar chips, fruit by the foots, cheese, pizza and of course my greens.
Things I can't eat: Peanut butter!!!! It's heartburn city for me!!!

So my girlfriend gave me this fun idea to compare the 2 pregnancies....
